The 620 Film Format was in production for decades. It is, essentially, the same size as the more modern 120 film, with the exception that was produced on a different sized spool.

The 120 roll film of today will not fit into most antique 620 cameras; but by re-spooling the 120 onto an existing 620 film spool, the conversion can be made successfully. (For the benefit of a novice seeking to try out a vintage camera, please note that this process would have to take place in complete darkness, utilizing a darkroom, dark-box, or dark-bag. The film is also suceptible to damage from debris, dust specks, or scratches during this procedure.)

Spools can also be purchased from some suppliers, and at least one can often be found in an old, forgotten, 620 film camera offered for sale used. A mechanically-inclined individual could make their own 620 spools.

There still remain a few antique film suppliers in the United States who may offer this film for sale at a premium price. They generally use the above technique to produce this product.
