Hello! Camera-wiki.org is a wiki about cameras, photography, and their history. If you're interested in contributing to it, that's great — welcome!

The next thing to do might be to read some of the Help pages, to get an idea of how to edit pages. Maybe you'd like to write something about yourself and your cameras on your User page. Generally, text in the wiki should be in English.

We have had a problem recently with large numbers of accounts being created by spammers. To combat this, new accounts are blocked if they aren't used fairly soon (within about a day after being created); and of course an account is blocked immediately if it becomes clear it was created just to put advertising into the wiki. So please at least write a short reply here to reassure the admins that you're not one of the spammers; otherwise, your account will be blocked.

Hello to everybody
I'm not a spammer, I am a pure photographer, analogic, digital and artistic.
I'm glad to meet a community so interested about cameras and photography,
and I would like to contribute.
I'm Italian
see you soon

Thank you for joining, MAS! We've got an introduction to editing wiki pages, and if I can help with anything just leave a note on my Talk page. Cheers, --Vox 14:44, 17 September 2011 (PDT)

ok; bye!

Hi!
You asked on my Talk page why a picture you added to Zenit was replaced. Sorry - I find that it was me that did this! I gave my reasons for the change briefly in an edit-summary at the time: see the edit history of the Zenit article.
I thought the picture you added was spectacular, but that's not really what we need for an encyclopaedia; we need pictures that show the camera clearly (see Help:Adding images#Selecting images). In your picture, the flash makes it hard to see the camera at all. So I replaced it with another picture of the FS12 from the CW Flickr pool, which showed the FS12 kit folded up in its case - a view of the camera we didn't yet have.
