Shenyang Zhongyi Optical & Electronic Company Ltd (known as Zhongyi Optics or ZY Optics) is a lens-maker in Shenyang, China about 60 miles west of the border with North Korea. The company was started in 1984, as a twenty-year joint venture with a Japanese investor.[1]
The company uses the brand Mitakon in addition to Zhongyi. Products include MF-lens adaptors for CSC cameras, but also makes complete lenses. Zhongyi was already active in the heyday of manual-focusing 35mm film SLR system bodies, making lenses in popular mounts.

The wide angle converter speeds lens up, for example f1.4 to f1.2! Adapts optics for Pentax K, Leica R, M42, Minolta MD, Canon EF, Nikon Ai or Canon FD onto Sony NEX. Variants for Micro Four Thirds or Fuji CSCs may be available too, maybe not the full adaption palette.
