The Olympus OM-D E-M5 of the year 2012 was the first Japanese mirrorless digital system camera with a body design that resembles of a legendary 35mm camera system, the Olympus OM SLR series. The new camera itself started the new Olympus OM-D camera series for the Micro Four-Thirds system.

The power grip HLD-6G's part #1 attaches a grip enlargement to the OM-D E-M5 camera body, and part #2 enhances that combination with a vertical grip with internal chamber for a second rechargeable battery. images by Uwe Kulick (Image rights)
