Nikonos V

The Nikonos V, is an underwater 35mm viewfinder camera made by Nikon in Japan, introduced in June 1984. It can be used at depths down to 165 feet (50 meters).
Like the earlier IV-A, the Nikonos V provides aperture-priority autoexposure via an electronically-timed shutter; but it improves on that model by offering a full range of manually-selectable shutter speeds. When using Nikon's SB-102 and SB-103 flash units, the Nikonos V provided through-the-lens automatic flash exposure control.
The Nikonos V remained in production until 2001, overlapping with Nikon's underwater SLR model the Nikonos RS.
