Instax instant film was made available in 1999, for Fuji's line of instant cameras.

It replace the previous Fotorama ACE series. Similar to the Fororama series, it is still based on Kodak Instant film technology. Three formats of Instax film and cameras are available the wide, mini as well as a pivi format which is similar in size and appearance to the mini format but works with Fuji's line of portable printers.

For more information on the evolution of Fuji's instant film offerings see Fujifilm instant photography.
