Instax instant film was made available in 1999, for Fuji's line of instant cameras.

It replace the previous Fotorama ACE series. Similar to the Fororama series, it is still based on Kodak Instant film technology. Three formats of Instax film and cameras are available the wide, mini as well as a pivi format which is similar in size and appearance to the mini format but works with Fuji's line of portable printers.

Instax wide

Instax wide film has a ISO of 800 and is 62mm x 99mm in size. It is most commonly distributed in ten exposure per cartridges in single, double or five packs. it is compatible with the following cameras:

Instax mini

Fuji Instax Mini film is compatible with Instax Mini cameras, Polaroid mio cameras and Polaroid 300 cameras. The film and cartridge for each is exactly the same and are interchangeable. The film is half the width of Instax Wide.

Instax Pivi
