The Holga 120TLR is a toy camera that uses medium format 120 film and introduced in 2009 by Universal Electronics (Holga). A version called Holga 120GTLR with a glass lens is also available.
The design of the camera is based on the Holga 120N but the finder has been adapted to a waist level TLR viewing style. This includes a collapsible style hood and a sportfinder for a horizontal viewing. The image within the finder is in a round circle instead of a more traditional rectangular shape. The lens is the same plastic 60mm f/8 design from previous Holgas. There are four positions to the focusing, 1m (single), 2m (trio), 6m (group) and 10m-inf (mountain). There are two aperture settings at f/11 (sun) and f/8 (cloud / flash). Because the viewing lens was not part of the original Holga 120 design; it blocks the taking lens a bit making the settings more difficult to adjust when in a camera ready position. There are two setting for the shutter speed; N (1/100) and B (bulb). This can be adjusted on the base of the camera lens. There is a tripod bush beside the shutter speed selector. The camera can shoot 16 exposures of 6×4.5 or 12 exposures of 6×6. This is done by using different film mask in the film chamber. The camera back uses a red window with a vertical slider to choose number of exposures. Included is a colour filtered electronic flash. It can be turned on with a horizontal switch on the back. An orange LED indicator is lit when the flash is ready. Red, yellow and blue filters are built-in. Change the colours by rotating the dial on top of the flash to R, Y and B. For normal flash (5600K) use the W setting. The flash requires two AA batteries that are located in the film chamber under the removable film size mask.
