A 4-megapixel digital compact introduced by Canon in 2004, the PowerShot S410 was one of the many models in the popular series spawned by the Canon PowerShot S100. It was also known as the Digital IXUS 430 and Digital IXY 450.

It features a 4 megapixel 1/1.8" CCD sensor. This produces a maximum resolution of 2,272 x 1,704. The lens has a 35mm equivalent focal length of 36 – 108 mm making it a 3x zoom. Aperture range of f/2.8 - f/4.9. The closest focus distance is 46cm in normal mode and 5cm in macro mode. The shutter speed is from 15 to 1/2000. The camera back features a 118,000 pixel 1.5" LCD screen and has a zooming optical viewfinder. Pictures are stored in JPEG format. Data is stored in CompactFlash card. Connectivity is with USB Mini-B for computer transfers. It uses a rechargeable NB-1LH lithium-ion rechargeable battery.
