The PowerShot A530 was introduced by Canon in March 2006, with a 5 megapixel CCD sensor giving images of up to 2592x1944 pixels. It is fitted with a 5.8 - 23.2mm f/2.6-5.5 (4x) zoom lens, 35mm equivalent 35-140mm. The back has a 77,000 dot, 1.8" color LCD display. A optical viewfinder is also provided. Storage is via Secure Digital flash memory cards, and is powered by 2x AA batteries.
