Welcome to Camera-Wiki.org!

Thanks for creating an account here on Camera-Wiki.org! We appreciate your willingness to help us create the most comprehensive camera and photography encyclopedia on the web. Camera-Wiki.org is a big website, so we'd like to offer a few quick pointers to help get you started.

You also have a profile page that you can edit to tell us more about yourself if you'd like. It's purely optional but it's always nice to get to know another camera lover.

This website uses software called Mediawiki that's also used by WikiPedia. If you already know how to use and edit WikiPedia, you'll feel right at home here. If not, we have special page where you can learn to edit, called the Sandbox. It's a place where you try things out and experiment with no worries of breaking anything.

Hi! I'm one of Camera-wiki's admins. Let me add my human welcome to Botscura's robotic one! We're interested to hear that the Unomat brand will be on photographic products again. However, you'll see that I've undone a lot of your editing to the page Unomat International. Camera-wiki is an encyclopaedia: we never like removing information from our articles (unless it's untrue, of course), so we can't allow the list of old models of Unomat flash equipment to be deleted. Rather, we hope to flesh that list out with more information, as and when we find it. Also, we have a very strong policy against advertising, and in my opinion a few of your sentences strayed into that area.

However, that doesn't detract from my first point: we're interested that an established photographic name will be active again, so we wish you well, and I haven't deleted everything you wrote! Cheers! --Dustin McAmera (talk) 13:31, 29 June 2013 (PDT)

Hi, also, if you intend to participate with the Camera-Wiki.org community in editing the camera encyclopedia, I'd like to suggest you add something about yourself to your profile page; something that looks less like advertising I mean. How about your name, for example and something about what your editing interests are (do they go beyond the one edit on the article about your company's brand?)
