Moving from Camerapedia

I joined Camerapedia right before the fork. (in fact on January 22th) Did not want to take sides on the issue. As of today there are 5,318 pages on and 5,773 articles on Seems like the whole community has moved. -- Petri Krohn 03:33, 1 June 2011 (PDT)

P.S. – I have nothing against the "commercial" nature of Wikia. In fact I believe the pro-commercial GNU General Public License (GPL) is the greatest thing for the 21th century. I do however dislike their spammy skin. -- Petri Krohn 03:38, 1 June 2011 (PDT)

Welcome and thanks for joining us, and for adding your electronic flash listings. I hope you've found our Flickr group as well.
We do have some contributors who add to both wikis, and that's fine. I think the initial anger arose because the sale had no input from the members who had created all the content. Also, the wiki depends on good photographs of cameras— most of which are ©, not GFDL.) Anyway, you're quite right that the activity is a lot higher here. Cheers and let me know if I can help with anything. --Vox 05:24, 1 June 2011 (PDT)
