Hi! Camera-wiki.org is a wiki about cameras, photography, and their history. If you're interested in contributing to it, that's great — welcome! We have a FAQ page if you'd like to learn more about our project.

The next thing to do might be to read some of the Help pages, to get an idea of how to edit pages. Generally, text added to wiki articles should be in English. You might also write a little bit about yourself and your camera interests on your User page.

We have had a problem recently with large numbers of accounts being created by spammers. To combat this, new accounts are blocked if they aren't used fairly quickly (within about a day after being created); and of course an account is blocked immediately if it becomes clear it was created just to put advertising into the wiki. So at the very least, please write a short reply here to reassure the admins that you're not one of the spammers; otherwise, your account may be deleted.

I'm real, hate spammers, and provide lot's of Vivitar, Kiron and Panagor information...

By the way, you can "sign" anything you write in these discussion pages by clicking the 7th tool button above the edit window (with the gray handwriting icon), where the four tilde characters (~) are a MediaWiki code which expands automatically to a signature & timestamp when you save. --Vox 06:48, 17 March 2012 (PDT)
