I wrote this; but reading it now, it's as clear as mud. Someone should re-write it; may do it myself when I finish work! A diagram would be good. There surely has to be a patent for the mechanism too. Also note that trapped-needle gives shutter-priority AE (or in some simple cameras, AE at a fixed shutter speed), while the Durst/Agfa mechanism gives aperture-priority. --Dustin McAmera (talk) 23:24, 14 October 2014 (PDT)
