Really need a complete list of King Regula cameras, though this is difficult due to the many variations and little known models over the years. Morinaka 11:22, 20 May 2010 (EDT)

Cameras sorted by the date they were first produced, using decades should hopefully make keeping track of the cameras easier and show the linage of Regulas Morinaka 11:22, 20 May 2010 (EDT)

For myself as a non-specialist, it was not clear whether the models listed I-Pa and IP.a are the same or different? I removed a nearly empty I-Pa page and let Regula IP.a stand. Please correct this if I was wrong.--Vox 15:11, 30 August 2011 (PDT)
It's hard to know because these cameras aren't really collected like better known brands, so pictures and information is lacking, particularly for the first two generations of King Regula cameras.
From what i can tell the "-" is used in the first generations of King cameras which have the body shape like in the Regula II or Regula I-Po pages, and that the "." is used in the second generation with the body shape like the Regula IP.a or Regula IIa. I took a lot of the model numbers from the Irregular Regulas article in the hopes that at some point we might be able to get images for them or confirm they exist.
I think the first generation bodies weren't as mass produced or widely exported outside of germany and are hard to find data on; they seem to be very basic point and shoot cameras to use modern vernacular. Second generation is a bit easier to find and more mass produced indicating they were exported more widely within europe.
As for the I-Pa vs IP.a thing, i made the I-Pa page because someone had posted a photo of a camera with that name on flickr but it turned out to be wrong and was an IP.a so i removed all the information on the I-Pa page and removed the link, but i left the model in the listings in case it is a model but just not identified yet. I think as i get more data and information from images on the first generation Regulas i'll combine the pages rather than have a load of seperate pages of each model. The models don't really seem to different much in looks, the only major differences are the lens/shutter used on the front. --Morinaka 04:25, 25 January 2012 (PST)
