Featured article material?

The only doubtful photo rights in this article are the Konica II details from "Reid at Pardees Camera" and hosted by Rebollo_fr on Flickr. Fortunately there's another Konica II shot from mfphotos that's now available in our new pool. The "billboard" shot on the front page can be one from the article or from my stream --Vox 13:57, 3 February 2011 (CST)

nice page

This is a great page, has a lot of useful differentiation on the models. Glad I could contribute. Feel free to add any images from the camerapedia pool that I have contributed. I was lucky enough to recently purchase a very nice Konica I setup. -- Apocaplops 16:18, 25 October 2007 (EDT)

I screwed up.

On this edit: Plops turns out to be entirely right. Sure to find evidence to prove him wrong, I went looking -- and thereupon found that what I'd thought was a separate eyepiece was instead the rewind release button (or similar). Duh! Thank you, Plops! -- Hoary 10:12, 6 September 2007 (EDT)

It seems to me that the advertisement is still under copyright. However I'm not sure: it was published in the US and doesn't have the © notice. I would like to have the opinion of someone better informed. Maybe some people at Wikipedia are experts on these things, we could ask them. --Rebollo fr 15:24, 7 October 2007 (EDT)

Better picture

I replaced the picture of the Konica IIIA by another one, which is much better in my opinion, and is available in a larger size. Feel free to disagree and revert to the previous picture. --Rebollo fr 08:06, 8 January 2009 (EST)

=Konica IIF

Note: Personally I don't think this model exists. Photographs I've seen claiming to be this model are not labelled "IIF" at all, but merely "II". The examples I have seen appear to only be an update of the II using the new Konirapid-MFX shutter, which was also put into production on the new IIA model that was introduced a month later. All other aspects of the camera, including one in my personal collection, appear identical to the original II model. It should be noted that all other II series variations mentioned here clearly display their model designations. So I suspect this is just a continuing production of the II as a lower priced alternative to the other models being offered at that time and listed here, unchanged except for the new shutter (which probably was changed for sake of manufacturing efficiencies, as much as anything). One other possibility, it was about this same time that an un-named prototype based upon the II series was shown in some Japanese stores, that featured interchangeable lens heads to offer multiple focal lengths (see below: Interchangeable-lens prototype). Perhaps the II-series based prototype is what's being refered to as a "IIF". Whatever the case, good information about this is scarce. Alan Myers, August, 2012.
