635 is 35mm film system developed and sold by Polish film manufacturer Foton, sometimes also known as 35-3 or "type 3". Like for example most of the Svema 35mm film it was supplied at spool that was supposed to be put into reusable cassete. But unlike svema and almost all other 35mm refills, 635 by foton could be both handled and loaded in daylight. After loading to a cartdrige(most commonly classic Orwo type) it could be used in any camera for 135 type film. It was cheaper to produce and smaller compared to 135 film in cartdriges. All films availaible in this format were B&W pancromatic on safe, non flammable base.
