The CX II is a 35mm film SLR camera by Chinon accepting 42mm screw lenses.

The notable difference between this model and its predecessor the Chinon CX is that stop down metering is now activated by a halfway press of the shutter release, not a slider alongside the lens mount.

This camera has shutter speeds from 1 to 1/1000 sec. plus bulb mode. Metering is based on needle type system, view able on the right of the finder screen. Focusing is aided by a microprism in the center of the finder screen. The self-timer has a delay of approx 8 seconds. There is a tab ahead of the film wind lever to permit multiple exposures.

The CX II is quite heavy and very well built: the body alone weighs 765 grams.

Foto-Quelle sold the CX II as Revueflex 3000 SM (black). A greatly restyled version was sold as Revueflex 2002 (chrome) and Revueflex 3003 (black); and in the US as the Argus CR-2.
