CH strut folder
The CH is a Japanese strut-folding camera taking Sweet-size plates (about 4×5cm), patterned after the British Ensignette. The camera is known from a single surviving example pictured in Sugiyama. It was made by an unknown company, certainly in the 1920s. It was surely distributed by Misuzu Shōkai, which is known to have used the CH brand at a later period.
The CH camera has a fixed-focus lens, a brilliant finder inside the front standard, and a simple shutter with Time and Instant settings selected by a lever at the front. The front standard has the words Achromatic lens above the lens, the model name "C.H" below and New PATENT CAMERA. at the bottom right.
