This is one of Vivitar's many cheap focus-free 35mm models manufactured in China, similar to the IC 100. There are no exposure adjustments, although some samples are provided with a hot shoe for flash. The main attraction of this particular model is its oversized viewfinder, which does a better job of representing the actual lens coverage than many other trashcams. The black, rectangular lens barrier makes an effective shutter in case the owner is inspired remove the front and modify the IC 400 into a 35mm pinhole camera.
