==Description==
The Vivitar 28mm f/2.5 Compatible T System lens was distributed by [[Vivitar|Ponder & Best (later Vivitar)]] in the late 1960s and early 1970s. This lens was the higher end model of two 28mm T mounts. Ponder and Best designated the family to which this lens belongs as the '''Compatible T System'''. The Compatible T System family can be subdivided into "types" made by various manufacturers. This lens was manufactured by [[Kino Precision]]. The Kino-made T mounts all bear a distinctive red triangle on the preset ring. Collectors sometimes refer to these lenses as the Pyramid Preset family because of the triangular marking.
