Tōyō Kōki Seizō
History
Tōyō Kōki Seizō K.K. (東洋光機製造㈱), often cited as "Tōyō Kōki", was a Japanese company of the late 1930s and early 1940s, which made the Peacock 3×4cm cameras.[1] The company was based in Tokyo, Yodobashi.[2]
It is said that it was linked to Oriental Shashin Kōgyō, a large film maker and owner of the Peacock trademark.[3] Tōyō Kōki was merged into Oriental in 1944, becoming its optical instruments branch (光機部門), dissolved in 1945.[4]
