The Cyber-shot DSC-F55 is a digital camera announced by Japanese manufacturer Sony in 1999.

The camera features a 2 megapixel 1/2" CCD sensor. Photos are captured in JPEG format and have a maximum resolution of 1600x1200. The lens is a Carl Zeiss Distagon 37mm equilv f/2.8. It is mounted on a 180 degree rotating platform. It is able to focus from 0.5m to infinity and in macro mode from 0.01m. It has a 2" colour 123,000 pixel LCD screen. There is removable flash card storage in the Memory Stick format A 4MB card is included. For i/o interfaces it uses a RS-232C serial, and a composite RCA cord for video. It is powered by a 3.6v rechargeable NP-F10 InfoLITHIUM battery. It weighs in at approx. 300g.

Another revision of the camera was announced a year later in 2000 called DSC-F55V, the main difference is that the sensor is now capable of 3.3 megapixels.
