The Smena 6 is a 35mm viewfinder camera made by GOMZ and LOMO in the USSR, from 1961 to 1969. it was designed to use 35mm film running between two cassettes, rather than the more recent, and more common, method of rewinding back to a single cassette. There were many small variations of the Smena 6[1]
The Smena 7 is identical to the 6 but without the self timer.
The Smena 6 was an upgraded Smena 5, adding flash synchronisation, a self timer, an extra, slower shutter speed (1/15) and lens coating, whilst deleting the strap lugs.
The Smena 6 & 7 were replaces by the Smena 8, using conventional single-cassette film.
