SLT
SLT is the abbreviation for Sony's single lens translucent[1] camera concept. It's an alternate DSLR concept with a fixed semi-reflective mirror and an electronic viewfinder instead of optical pentaprism or pentamirror reflex finder. The translucent mirror directs parts of the light onto a set of autofocus sensors, only 70% of the light from the lens goes through the mirror onto the image sensor. The idea is in some ways a revival of the "pellicle" mirror of the Canon Pellix of 1965.

This concept enables on the one hand electronic viewfinders in system cameras for the the Sony α system, on the other hand easier implementation of autofocus by phase detection.
