Robot in the Early 1960s

Company - Robot Photo Dusseldorf

All their cameras were powered by a powerful spring motor that would run for 18 exposures.

The two main models in 1962 were:

Robot Star II and the Robot Royal

"Robot Star II"

  • Screw Mount - Interchangeable Schneider lenses
  • Direct Vision finder
  • All metal Rotor Shutter - 1/4 to 1/500
  • Schneider Xenon 40mm f1.9

Also available was the Star II/50 with a double spring motor for 50 exposures and a Xenar 38mm f2.8

"Robot Royal"

  • "Kinographic" sequence - 4-5 exposures per second
  • Coupled Rangefinder
  • Interchangeable Lenses (8 available) in Bayonet Mount

This camera was available in two versions:

  • Royal 36s - standard 35mm frame size - Schneider Xenar 45mm f2.8
  • Royal 24S - 24 X 24 mm framesize - 3 standard lenses
  • Schneider Xenar 38mm f2.8
  • Schneider Xenon 40mm f1.9
  • Schneider Xenar 45mm f2.8
