The Teleca 240 is a binocular half frame camera with fixed lens made in Japan by Ricoh from 1971. This was a joint project with Nichiryo International Corporation Ltd.: the Nichiryo Nicnon and Teflex are nearly identical.

The device is a pair of 7x50 binoculars with a Ricoh Auto Half E attached to one side. A beam splitter in the binoculars diverts the image to the camera. The camera does not include its selenium light meter cell or lens, so it does not retain the camera's automatic exposure: light metering requires an optional accessory lightmeter. It has clockwork motor film advance.

  • Type: binocular camera
