This camera should not be confused with Ricoh's 1960's scale focus focus viewfinder camera of the same name.
The Auto 35 is a fixed-focus point-and-shoot camera for 35mm film, introduced by Japanese manufacturer Ricoh in 1991. A version with a databack was also available and it was sold as the Auto 35 Date. This camera is a slightly downgraded version of the model named L-20 (also known as the YF-20 Super) released 2 years earlier in 1989.
The Auto 35 was also sold by the British chain-store chemist Boots as the Boots C35FF.
