.The Pentax K-5 is an enthusiast APS-C DSLR which was produced by Pentax from late 2010 to late 2012. It was discontinued and replaced by the Pentax K-5 II. It uses the 16.3 MP sensor also seen in the Nikon D7000, which was produced by Sony. Cosmetically, the camera is very similar to the Pentax K-7, but features an updated sensor and SAFOX IX+ AF module[1]. The camera is fully weather-sealed. It can shoot continuously at 7fps with shutter speeds up to 1/8000s. It features a 0.92x magnification viewfinder with 100% coverage.

Reception

The K-5 was received well by reviewers and garnered high praise. Reviewers cited the High-ISO image quality, bright viewfinder and exceptional build quality.
