The Minox Model B was introduced in 1958, and approximately 384,327 were manufactured over the next 14 years.

It was the first Minox with an integrated coupled selenium cell exposure meter. The meter increases the length of the Model B by roughly 15mm over the earlier Model III and IIIs, to 97mm.
