Metz is a German company, manufacturer of the Mecablitz third‐party flash units. It also made the Mecaflex camera in 1953.

The company created the SCA module to adapt a generic TTL flash to each camera's body proprietary interface, and produced a line of flash units dedicated to each such interface.
