The New Genba Kantoku (現場監督) (translated as Site supervisor) or referred to as Foreman or Work camera is a rugged 35mm film camera released in Japan by Konica in 1992. It replaced the "現場監督" released in 1988. In 1994 a newer 現場監督 WB version was released.
It was primary designed for building construction workers. It is waterproof (JIS protection grade 4), dust, sand proof and anti-shock. It uses a auto focusing fixed 35mm f/3.5 made from 3 elements in 3 groups. It has a minimum focusing distance of 0.8m. The shutter has speeds of 1/4 to 1/280 sec. There is a LCD panel which displays, exposure counter, battery level, flash (auto, on, off), self-timer and infinity. Changing flash settings is done by pressing the mode button and cycles the various options. The film loading and advance is automatic with a motor drive. A window is on the film back as a reminder of emulsion type. Power is from 2CR5 battery. Date versions can record the year up to 2019 and powered by a CR2025 battery.
