Kikōdō

Kikō-dō (暿光堂, Kikō-dō) was a Japanese distributor. In 1934, it asked Umemoto Kinzaburō (梅本金三郎) to setup a camera plant. That would be Umemoto Seisakusho, founded in 1935. It sold the cameras made by Umemoto at least until the war. Among them were a Makinette 6 (マキネット6) 6x6 folding camera in 1936 and the Super Flex Baby from 1938. In 1942, Kiko-do was advertising the Super Flex Baby together with a Semi Wester (セミウエスター) 4.5×6 folding camera, perhaps made by Nishida.

After the war, there was a company called Bikō-Dō Seisakusho (美光堂製作所) or Super Photo (スーパー写真), that made a series of 6x6 TLRs called Superflex, but it is probably unrelated.
