GAF is the acronym of General Aniline & Film, that was the new name of Ansco after 1967.

In the 1970s, GAF sold the Memo 35 EE, a compact 35mm rangefinder with a Chinon 38/2.7 lens.

GAF also sold 35mm SLRs. The SLRs were made by Chinon, and were the same as most Chinon models. Here are some examples of GAF SLRs:

  1. GAF L-14
  2. GAF L-17, the L-17 has double exposure capability.
  3. GAF L-CM
  4. GAF L-CS
  5. GAF LC-X, a rebadged Chinon CX
  6. GAF L-ES
  7. GAF L-ES a
  8. GAF L-ES/2, other name for the Chinon CE II Memotron

GAF also sold various viewfinder cameras, rangefinder cameras and cine cameras:

  • GAF Memo EE was a clone of the Chinon 35EE and Vivitar 35ES and was also rebranded by Dixons in the UK as the Prinz 35-E, with all of them being based on the Konica 35 rangefinder. The GAF Memo ET was similar, but with the slower f/2.8 lens, making it comparable to the Vivitar 35EE.
  • GAF Anscomatic 726 was a rebadged Petri rangefinder.
