Two companies named Frata, both Brazilian, have made cameras. The two are not apparently related.
- Frata of Saõ Paolo was started in 1961 by Manoel Thalenberg, with German designer Horst Franieck. Their first product was a rechargeable battery for use with electronic flash. The company went on to produce a range of flash equipment, including camera-mounted and studio flashes, flash meters and a stroboscope.[1] More recently, the company's products have been beacon-lamps for aviation. The company website refers to two very simple cameras for 126 film, the Tekinha and Tekinha II.
- Frata Industrial S.A. of Manaus is known for only one camera, the Neiko for 110 film, made in the 1980s.
