The Dorisflex is a Japanese 6×6 TLR, made by Doris Camera and released in 1954 or 1955.[1]
General description
The Dorisflex is a simple and boxy TLR. Focusing is done by turning the lens front element, that were geared together. No shutter winding lever is visible, only a release lever, maybe the shutter is everset. There is a knob on the right for film advance, with no exposure counter. Film advance must be controlled by red windows.[2]
Evolution
The original Dorisflex has a Delta C 75/3.5 lens and a Helio B, 10–200 shutter.
The Dorisflex A is of the same kind, with a Delta 75/3.5 lens and a Prestar B, 1–200 shutter.[3]
Notes
- ↑ Date: all the advertisements mentioned by Kokusan kamera no rekishi, p. 356, are dated 1955 but Lewis, p. 88, says that the Dorisflex was released in 1954.
- ↑ Example observed at a Yahoo Japan auction.
- ↑ According to the Japan Family Camera page; however, McKeown only lists the original model.
