Copenflex
The Copenflex (コペンフレックス) is a Japanese 6×6 TLR, made in 1954 by Tōsei Kōki.
Description
The Copenflex is a copy of the Rolleicord. The focusing is done by moving the front plate back and forth. The focusing and film advance knobs are on the photographer's right. The film advance is semi-automatic and there is a round window for an exposure counter at the top right. The viewing hood contains a sportsfinder and a large magnifying lens. The COPENFLEX nameplate has stepped edges.
Two wheels are visible on the front, certainly used to set the speed and aperture. The lens is a Chibanon or Chibanone (チバノン) 75/3.5 and the shutter is a synchronized TKS (B, 1–200, self-timer). The name TKS is engraved between the viewing and taking lenses.
Advertisements
The Copenflex was announced as available soon (近日発売) in an advertisement dated January 1954,[1] and it was offered for ¥19,500 in April of the same year.[2]
No surviving example of the Copenflex has been observed so far.
