The Cyclone Jr. was a wooden leatherette-coated box camera with a small magazine for two double-faced wooden 3x3" plate holders. It had a reflecting type finder and a combination of simple lens and simple shutter. The Cyclone Sr. was a similar box camera for bigger 4x5" plates, thus having two reflecting type finders, one for vertical and one for horizontal shots. The cameras were produced from 1898 to 1905 by Western Camera Manufacturing Co. in Chicago and later in Rochester when the company was merged into Rochester Optical Co..
