The Chinon CP-9AF Multi Program camera is a fully equipped SLR made in Japan, it was introduced in 1988.

This model has the Pentax mount and is compatible with Pentax K, KA, KAF and RK (Ricoh) lenses, although with some restrictions on the program AE mode. The standard lens for the CP-9AF is the Chinon 28-70mm f/3.5-4.5 with macro mode. As an accessory a 70-210mm lens was available as well as an info-back and 2 dedicated flashes: the AF-S120 and the AF-S280. The lens contacts were inside the body of the camera, allowing other K-mount lenses to be used on this model. As shown in the pictures, the small AF-S120 flash works like a pop-up flash and is being charged by the camera battery, it does not have it's own power source and therefore cannot be used on other cameras.

  • continuous shooting at 2.5 frames per second
  • EV compensation from -4 to +4 in 1/2 steps
  • self timer from 10 seconds to 90 minutes
  • interval timer from 1 second to 90 minutes
  • uses 1 6V 2CR5 battery or 4 1.5V AA-type batteries
