The brand Chinar was used by Chinon USA (and in other territories?) for a series of budget lenses in the 1980s. In addition to the K mount in use by its own SLR cameras of the time, these lenses were also available in other popular mounts such as Minolta MD, Nikon F-AI, and Canon FD. Only the most popular and ubiquitous focal lengths were offered: 28mm and 135mm; a midrange zoom; and three telephoto zooms.
