The Canonflex RM was introduced in 1962. It is a 35mm SLR camera manufactured by Canon Camera Co., Japan. It has a fixed pentaprism and a built-in selenium exposure meter. The meter can be set at ASA 10 to 800, and has a range of EV 6 to 17 (ASA 100). It uses a cloth focal plane shutter with speeds from 1s to 1/1000 with B. Flash sync is at 1/55 a sec. It uses the Canonmatic R lenses in Canon breech-lock mount. It has a wind-on lever near the top of the camera body. It was the last camera in the Canonflex range which was introduced in 1959. In 1964 was the Canon FX launched, introducing the Canon FL breech-mount lenses.
