The PowerShot S80 was an upper-level digital point & shoot introduced by Canon in September 2005. It replaced the PowerShot S70 from the year before. It had upped the resolution to an 8-megapixel 1/1.8" CCD sensor that produces images of 3264 x 2448 pixels. The lens a 28-100mm equivalent 3.6x zoom range with a f/2.8–5.3 aperture. The lens is protected by a sliding lens cover on the body. The back has a 115,000 pixel 2.5" diagonal LCD display. Removable media has changed from the previous CF to Secure Digital, a 32MB card is usually included.
