The PowerShot S70 was released in late 2004 by Canon. It was released three months after the PowerShot S60. They are nearly identical cameras. The only major difference is that the 1/1.8" CCD imaging sensor on the S60 has 5 megapixels, while the S70 has a 7 megapixel sensor. The S70 produces images with a maximum of 3072 x 2304 pixels. The lens is a F2.8 - F5.3, with a 35mm equivalent of 28 - 100mm, giving it a 3.6x zoom. It uses CompactFlash for media storage, and a 32 MB card is usually provided. The display is a 118,000 pixels, 1.8" TFT.
