The PowerShot S5 IS is a digital camera introduced by Canon in 2007. It is the fourth model in the PowerShot S IS series. It is the successor to the Canon PowerShot S3 IS. There is no S4 model number because of the common Asian tetra phobia superstitions.
The camera features 8 mega pixels on a 1/2.5 inch CCD sensor. The screen is a 207,000 pixel 2.5 inch TFT, mounted on a adjustable flip out arm similar to the previous models.
