The PowerShot S400 is 2003 model joining Canon's successful line of compact, metal-bodied digital cameras begun with the S100. The S400 includes a 4-megapixel sensor, a 3x zoom, and a 1.5" diagonal LCD screen. While this model continued the use of CompactFlash storage, Canon soon after began transitioning their camera lineup to the smaller SD card format.
