Canon PowerShot S20

The PowerShot S20 was announced in the beginning of 2000 by Canon. It is the successor to the PowerShot S10. The design of the camera is nearly identical the S10. The only major difference is that the 1/1.8" CCD imaging sensor on the S20 has 3 megapixels, while the S10 has a 2 megapixel sensor. The S20 produces images with a maximum of 2048 x 1536 pixels. The lens is a f/2.9 - f/4, with a 35mm equivalent of 32 - 64mm, giving it a 2x zoom. Minimum focusing distance is from 66cm, but in macro mode can go down to 12cm. It uses CompactFlash for media storage, and a 8 MB card is usually provided. The display is a 113,578 dots dot, 1.8" TFT type LCD. Both serial (RS 232C) or USB can be used for connectivity. It can be powered by a rechargeable NB-5H but is also compatible with a 2CR5 battery.
