The PowerShot S20 was announced in the beginning of 2000 by Canon. It is the successor to the PowerShot S10. The design of the camera is nearly identical the S10. The only major difference is that the 1/1.8" CCD imaging sensor on the S20 has 3 megapixels, while the S10 has a 2 megapixel sensor. The S20 produces images with a maximum of 2048 x 1536 pixels. The lens is a f/2.9 - f/4, with a 35mm equivalent of 32 - 64mm, giving it a 2x zoom. Minimum focusing distance is from 66cm, but in macro mode can go down to 12cm.
