The PowerShot Pro1 is a digital camera from Canon released in 2004.

It was released as the flagship to the PowerShot series of digital cameras. It replaced the previous PowerShot Pro90 IS. It uses a 8 megapixel CCD sensor. Photos are captured in 3264 x 2448 pixels. The Ultrasonic L-series zoom lens is 7x (28-200mm) with an aperture of f/2.4-f/3.5. This lens has aspherical, UD and fluorite lens elements similar to other Canon L-series lenses. The focusing is not done with a lens ring but electronic control typical of most PowerShot cameras. The auto focusing sensor is right below the PowerShot Pro1 nameplate, so ensure it is not blocked.

The top of the camera has pop-up flash with a range of 0.5 to 5 m (1.6 - 16.4 ft) at wide and 1 to 3.5 m at tele. When the flash is poped-up the red-eye reduction lamp can be seen. There is also a E-TTL hot-shoe, so many Canon Speedlites are compatible.

The top right shoulder of the camera is dominated by a LCD screen that display essential cameras settings. The back LCD screen is a 235,000 dot 2" color TFT type which can flip out twisted, swiveled and titled. An 235,000 dot electronic finder is also available. A button on the left of the finder switched between the EVF and LCD back.

The hand grip contains the power and media card bays. Power is from a 1390 mAh, 7.4V, Canon BP-511A Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery. A CB-5L or CG-580 external battery charger is included. Photos are stored on CompactFlash cards. A 64MB card and a WL-D100 remote control is usually included. The base has a metal tripod mount.
