The PowerShot A300 is a compact digital camera which was introduced by Canon in April 2003. It replaced the previous PowerShot A100. It uses a 3.2 megapixel CCD sensor giving images of up to 2048 x 1536 pixels. It is fitted with a 35mm equivalent 33mm f/3.6 lens. The lens can focus as close as 20cm, but in macro mode this is reduced to 5-20cm. The back has a 67,000 dot 1.5″ TFT color LCD screen. Storage is via CompactFlash cards. Power comes from two AA batteries. A nearly identical model PowerShot A310 was released a year later.
