The PowerShot A200 is a compact digital camera which was introduced by Canon in June 2002. It mostly replaced the previous PowerShot A100 released months prior, but often sold along side one another. It uses a 2 megapixel CCD sensor giving images of up to 1600 x 1200 pixels. It is fitted with a 35mm equivalent 39mm f/2.8 lens. The lens can focus as close as 20cm, but in macro mode this is reduced to 5-20cm. It is covered by a rotating lens that also acts as the power switch. The back has a 120,000 dot 1.5″ TFT color LCD screen. Storage is via CompactFlash cards. Power comes from two AA batteries. A CR2016 battery is also used for the date.
